Hi, Ken,
Thanks for the report.
Yes, please ! While I was there watching you guys and with you at the 3rd floor, I was thinking about this myself 😊

All, sPhenix status report: Elens compressor is running on its bypass LN2 is on and at the HX on L3 of sphenix, looks like it's controlling but not 100% sure, (LN2 is frosted) Valve lineup is done for cooling loop to begin in the morning.
We will wait for the start of cooldown until morning as It's getting too late tonight.
We would also like to add more insulation to the HX as we can visually see some cold spots that will turn into a wet mess on the upper deck.

each helium bottle 225 SCF or 6372 SLiter (=atm-Liter)
Reservoir: 400L 200ft run of 1.5" NPS = 450L 3 lines = 1500 L
1 backfill to 1 atm = 2000L
You could do 3 backfills to 1 atm. (first 2 backfills to 0.5 atm.) The last backfill to 1 atm.
Looks like 1 bottle is plenty.

Yes it is. I was more concerned about the volume of gas needed to backfill. That pump will get us into the 1.5” cold vapor line and into the He vessel. We might have enough gas in the ring to take from for the back fill. But we will probably have to remove LOTO for the tank farm to add gas.

The connection is already to the large pump, is it not just shutting the valves to the Blue and Yel valveboxes, and opening this and starting the pump?
From: Riker, Kenneth D <kenr AT bnl.gov>
Dan and I went and looked at the connection for this. Is this the best way to clean out this? or would a small vacuum pump up on the platform surfice? From: Than, Yatming (Roberto) <ythan AT bnl.gov>
Valve v1820M.
