Hi Xin and all,

We have taken some special runs to study the incident angle dependent cluster size etc., and also scanned some parameter space related to the sensor threshold, analogy signal shaping time .

More detailed offline analysis will be carried out to study tracking efficiency, cluster size and resolution etc.

Test beam data are transferred to RCF daily, and you can find them at,

/sphenix/data/data01/mvtx/tb-1441-052019

“longrun” and “calib” are the main directories for data  (no real difference)

Everyone is encouraged to check the data!

Cheers,

Ming

Hi Ming and All,

Thank you all for the tremendous efforts. It is so great to hear that most of the primary goals on the integration of full read-out chain have been met. I am curious whether possible we can perform some further studies on the sensor performance, e.g. hit resolution (we had some from previous test already), hit efficiency and its dependence on threshold settings if possible. Particular the later one though we may obtain some from the lab test stand, but may be limited by statistics.

I am also interested whether the data are available for people from remote (like me) who may be interested to take a look?

Congratulations! Cheers

/xin

Dear all,

A lot of progress at Fermilab this week, accomplished pretty much all of the primary goals in the last two days and confirmed the full readout chain with the (near final) hardware:

4-stave telescope + Custom SamTec cables (11.4m long) + 2 RUv1.1 (electrically identical to the final RU) + Felix v 2.0 (final) + sPHENIX GTM (v0.1) + RCDAQ

We received the custom long SamTec cable yesterday (just in time!) and tested them this evening.

The longest SamTec cable combination:  2.6m+8.8m = 11.4m long (10m is the desired length), and we confirmed the performance is not different from others!

More detailed analysis will follow soon.
