Hi Cameron,

I think a short daily meeting so we can go over what needs to be done is a great idea. For the weekly operations meetings, 12-2pm on Wednesday works for me!

Hi all,

Now that things are ramping up for the MVTX commissioning at BNL, I wanted to propose we have either a daily or weekly operations meeting to discuss where we’re at, what needs to happen and any issues we have. I know we’ve been discussing this in a few meetings but I thought it would be good to consolidate it into a single meeting so everyone gets the full picture and avoid miscommunications.

My initial thought would be to have a daily planning meeting but this could be tricky with our time zones and other meetings. How does a daily planning meeting at BNL plus a weekly operations meeting sound to people? This would allow the local team to coordinate efforts and we can give a general status report once a week in place of a planning meeting?

If this all sounds good, I can try to schedule official meetings from Monday with an informal meeting today now that I’ve returned to BNL? I spoke to Zhaozhong and he seems interested so the meetings would be led by the two of us. My thoughts is this would take place instead of, not in addition to, the commissioning reports at the MVTX general meeting, mechanics meeting and electronics meeting but I’m open to ideas and suggestions. A good time for me for a general operations meeting could be on Wednesdays around 12 – 2pm, I think this would allow all time zones to attend.
