Hi Zhaozhong,

Nice slides.

Quick minor comments, but you should update the plots to
the BUP2022 version. Many of them are just relabeling,
but there are several new plots (e.g. b-jet substructure).

In particular, the upsilon figure now has an Y(3S) projection
as well. So, you should definitely use the new one on p.14.

p.6:
- On the same point, the link to the BUP on p.6 should point
to the 2022 version.
- 145B events -> 141B events

Cheers,
Hideki

Hi Zhaozhong,

Thank for sharing the slides, they look pretty good. Just a few minor comments on technical progress:

  • Title,   remove “open and close” ?
  • P3, may update the figure …. “End of construction ~Dec. 21”, current schedule is a bit delayed
  • P4, update pictures with the latest one, a lot of progress made in the last a few months
  • P5, MVTX detector are assembled at LBNL

Cheers,

Ming

Dear sPHENIX Heavy Flavor Topic Group,

I have just made the first draft for my QNP 2022 talk entitled "The sPHENIX Open and Close Heavy Flavor Physics Program" held virtually from September 5 - 9. I might still be slightly polishing/refining some of my slides on Thursday. But the main content will not be changed significantly. Could you please review my slides and give me feedback by the end of Friday so that I could implement them and finalize draft before I go on vacation this Saturday? Thank you very much!

Sincerely,

Zhaozhong Shi
