Dear all,

after Andrey and Jared did the initial base installation of the machine, I spent a few hours on integrating it into the general DAQ landscape here.

- Jared's and Andrey's keys are added on root for easy login;

- I executed my "get the most-wanted additions installed" that I keep here as a curl-loadable/executable script:
https://www.phenix.bnl.gov/~purschke/what_to_install_centos.sh

- home directories are mounted;

- the EBDC11 accounts have been added to the machine;

- the DAQ network (10.20.32.95) is in place;

- the 100Gbs network is in place, too (10.20.36.95) ; this is how the data get to the bufferboxes;

- the lustre -aware kernel is getting booted by default;
[root@mvtx-flx1 ~]# uname -a
Linux mvtx-flx1 3.10.0-1160.49.1.el7_lustre.x86_64 #1 SMP Fri Jun 17 18:46:08
UTC 2022 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

- lustre is mounted:

I rebooted to see that everything comes up the way it's supposed to w/o further (manual) intervention.

The idea is that you guys now work with the machine for a few days, add/fix/configure whatever else is needed, and once we deem this stable, we attempt a clone.

Enjoy,

Martin
