Hi Ming,

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. Please find the updated note on Invenio: https://sphenix-invenio.sdcc.bnl.gov/communities/sphenixcommunity/requests/012b5364-bcca-4f29-8bc4-ac37e79941c0.

  1. Data:
for future records better mention the way data were recorded:
  • they were taken from 6/27 runs, and sensor auto-recovery was not in operation, thus a sensor remained off once it dropped off from the readout due to high beam backgrounds;

Thanks for pointing this out. This information is indeed worth documenting. Please see Line 27 and 28 (and the footnote).

  • a unique sPHENIX global BCO number was assigned to a strove at the beginning of this strobe from the GTM/GL1, and this

Updated. Please see Line 37~40.

  1. Analysis: show the units of the variables |Delta_Z_cut| = 0.1 cm[?], |Delta_Phi_Cut| = 0.03 Rad[?]

Updated. Please see Line 102 and the updated plots in Fig. 14.

  1. Suggestions :
  • We know the L0 got most backgrounds, and less in L1 and L2, have you checked the PV with L1 and L2 hits?

I could implement that in my current analysis setup after QM.

  • Check the PV_z difference determined from two halves

Some events had a large discrepancy between the two PV_z estimates, the reasons of which are still not clear to us. Since I have validated my analysis workflow in simulation and the simulation results look reasonable, I tend to think that it was the data. I don't want to make any conclusions yet, but I am curious to see what the results will be when we have better quality data.

Subject: [Sphenix-maps-l] Internal note on the vertex reconstruction with MVTX tracklets

Dear all,

I have uploaded an internal note on the MVTX tracklets vertex reconstruction in the initial Au+Au data to Invenio: https://sphenix-invenio.sdcc.bnl.gov/communities/sphenixcommunity/requests/012b5364-bcca-4f29-8bc4-ac37e79941c0.
The note includes plots using data (Fig.5 and 6) that I will use in my QM poster and present in the final plot approval next Wednesday.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Best,
Hao-Ren
