Hi all-

Thanks for the comments!  Here is an updated pdf version.

Powerpoints will be happily sent to individuals by request but since it is large I didn't want to send it to the list. :)

Fyi your talk is 17+3. 20 minutes include the question time. But.... It is the last talk before the discussion and your chair might be nice or not.

Hi Sarah,

nice talk. When you are done, I'm gonna ask you for the powerpoint to steal things from for my next talk.

Some minor suggestions:

I tripped over the "simulated capabilities". Sounds odd. "Simulation results", maybe? Or, while you are at it, "Simulation and test beam results"? We are making the point that our calorimeter sims are confirmed by the test beam results.

Not sure if the formalistic LRP and cost & schedule review snippets contribute enough to take up that much space. We have physics goals, and the committees agree with our plan, that's what I would say.

When I show the cross section through the barrel (that shows the 12 o'clock part) on your slide 11, I ask the audience to remember that picture. Then, on what is your slide 13, I show that again, rotated 90 deg next to the test beam setup, and then I can see the audience "get it".

Good luck on Friday, and enjoy the other island.

Hi all-

Attached is a draft of my sPHENIX talk for Hot Quarks.  I am scheduled to give it on Friday evening.  At the moment it seems a little long, it is supposed to be 20+5min, so advice on that would be helpful.  Other comments welcome as well.
