Hi Everyone
We will skip the next HF TG meeting during the US Memorial Day holiday, and meet in the next scheduled slot on June 14. Meanwhile, communication on our email list or matter most channels: https://wiki.bnl.gov/sPHENIX/index.php/Heavy_Flavor_Topical_Group#MatterMost_Chats
Have a great weekend

Intro - Hideki
MDC1 analysis is ongoing. Thanks to many analyzers and let's keep the momentum going!
Short notes on MDC1's first batch of results, so they can be shown publicly (first in APS GHP talk): TG plans to make final MDC1 notes in the near future.
Ming/Xin: the importance of covering the low pT particle, in particular given the D* pT threshold will be limited by the slow pion's momentum cut off. Jin: require low pT tracking software to do track reco around and below 0.2GeV. But glad we have the first set of plots first. Zhaozhong: also looking at the non-prompt D final states from B decay.
Jin: will discuss the new beam use proposal in the next meeting
HF reco tools - Cameron
New tool 1- DecayFinder: select any decay chain in the HepMC records
Jin: adding an Embedding ID option can be used to enable searching over only one HepMC event in a pileup or embedding scenario. For example, https://sphenix-collaboration.github.io/doxygen/db/de8/HFJetTruthTrigger_8cc_source.html#l00090
Jin: Bring to DecayFinder coresoftware Cameron: wait for another debug
Zhaozhong volunteered to help test
Sebastian/Cameron: the printout shows the acceptance just counting the simple kinematics cuts on the HepMC daughters, not yet including reco efficiency to make a full acceptance.
New tool 2 - Anti-trigger module, screen particular intermediate states.
Zhaozhong/Zhaozhong/Cameron: useful to select the pure background from M.B events by rejecting the rare events that contains a signal.
KFParticle update
Now also work with ANA.241 (the build currently used to analyze MDC1 data, before completing of the DST file fixes)
A new feature of record the whole decay chain history of a track
Decay parser interface to KFParticle, which describe final state selection via a formatted string.
Quick updates:
Han-sheng Li: missing sharp D0 DCA peak in the prompt D0 Cameron: plan to update truth information on vertex which helps to debug. Suggest run in test mode with ACTS vertex finder off, which would pick up a truth vertex during production: Will check with Joe on how to make ACTS vertex finder work in condor macro. Sebastian: past test confirm that turning vertex finder off in the analysis macro recovers the sharp D0 DCA resolution: https://chat.sdcc.bnl.gov/sphenix/pl/w5rkkwu8r3b1bnaoqidk7y518c
Antonio Da Silva: currently work with ALICE HF jet, getting started with sPHENIX software
