Introduction

D0-jet reco. production has inputs of kinematic selection from the D0-jet team. Pending update from Zhaozhong on EvtGen to support forced decay (D0->PiK)

Production planning: will proceed with producing c-cbar general sample (pending an update on TPOT today) and will request a D0-jet sample once EvtGen is ready

Truth reco association: a new chain is implemented by David Stewart. Request validation help from Joe on Truth-Reco DST object and Cameron on usage in KFParticle acceptance efficiency analysis.

Plots for HP23: Dennis previewed the discussion for the general meeting for the last set of simulation production for HP23, and future conference plots will move toward real data. A new public plot requires analysis notes and Cameron's AuAu KFParticle notes are in circulation which could lead to new plots. Other plots suggestion are welcomed, which could be made public with short analysis notes.

General presentation clarity: Please discuss the definition and cut used in plots for future presentations.

Particle Flow QA - Antonio

Summary: a detailed look at current PF reco in pp collisions. Will update the first check for Au+Au soon

Jin: Low pT PID decomposition

Tony: choice of tracks?

Antonio: started from reco track

Joe: Tracking quality cuts would be useful.

Joe: And useful to have a truth particle flow object, which does not exist yet

Slide 6:

Delta-phi: is produced comparing no-track match calo cluster with at-vertex truth phi, which can differ a lot due to magnetic bending of low pT particles. As there is no tracking to help correct the charge-sign-based bending, we probably have to accept this significant phi uncertainty for low-energy clusters as part of the phi inputs to PFJets.

Antonio: there is a 500-MeV selection cut on minimal track pT.

Joe: the tracking cut selection is historic and needs a wider optimization

Slide 10:

Dennis: good to look at visually the 4-cluster matched PF object

Slide 12:

Dennis: low pT calo response can be very wide

Jin: it would be very useful to look at 2D E_rec : E_truth which could h

Calo calib. plan - Justin

Summary: Emcal calibration is expected to be ready in time for the purpose of electron DST filtering

Slide 23 gives the expected precision with respect to the sPHENIX run plan.

Jin: will the position-dependent energy scale calibration be applied during this time line?

Justin: expect to start with the simulated corrected. On-going development on pi0 method to provide sub-tower pi0 calibration
