Overview:
D0 jet check - Xuan Li
Ming: Angular matching between reco and Truth jet is worth checking too
Jin: PFjet sub-component matching needs check. For example, the track constituents in the PF jet should have an energy scale of around 1.0, but the unmatched hadronic calorimeter cluster's energy scale is much lower around 0.6-0.7 as they were set closer to the EM energy scale and require an energy scale correction. The matching quality between the track and clusters needs to be checked too as shown by Antonio from the past simulation sample. Before such a detailed check, it would be very hard to interpret and use the uncalibrated PFFlow jet sample.
Tony: be cautious about CB fit and the Gauss component might not be stable
Xin: good to check vs light jet sample too. Jin: Jet TG has a large inclusive jet sample, in particular, "10 M JS TG 10 GeV truth triggered sample "
D0-Truth triggered module only samples a subset of phase space that can easily lead to biases which may be the cause behind the double peak on Z_proj in slide 13. Few comments:
D0 in distortion - Thomas Marshall
Yuanjing: how truth inv mass has a flat background ? Zhaozhong: EvtGen should be configured for Kpi-only decay Jin: suspect the random 6 pions per event lead to combinatorial background
Yuanjing: Non-gaussian shaped is suspicious Thomas: stat is small, working with Cameron with higher stat.
Xin: Expect exact inv. mass using truth info Xin: Suggest also checking D0 efficiency with/without distortion, .e.g due to distortion-induced MVTX matching loss
