PF Jet - Antonio da Silva

Summary: Testing a track-based background subtraction procedure. Looks promising in the first test

Slide 4:

Jin/Antonio: Cost-benefit analysis of this procedure: any background subtraction leads to biases. And the particular choice of procedure here will lead to lower number of low energy tracks, which is likely a good choice of the cost for backgroudn subtraction.

Tony: tracking based analysis has smaller efficiency at lower pT, which could lead to further complications (keep in mind)

Slide 7+ :

Tony: How tracking inefficiency show up in the pT reco truth matching?

Antonio: expecting negative shifting for the reco/truth ratio.

Joe: truth track study would be useful to see both scale change and smearing changes.

Tony: use tracking efficiency to compensate for loss of tracks

Xuan/Antionio: truth jet definition involve charged particle only

Xuan: the long tail towards higher reco jet energy is intriging

Tony/Antonio: track-calo matching is not yet used
