D0 in jet : Antonio and Xuan 

 

Simple plot considering the time frame 

D0 selection should be consistent with sPH-HF-2023-001

 

 

pT, eta of D0 reco. 

Aiming for reliminary

Antonio/Jin: Caveat that truth selected D0->piK final state both in reco and generation filtering. 

Dennis: also suggest D0 angular resolution plot

 

D0-in jet Angular resolution 

For internal discussion, not asking for reliminary 

 

D0-jet substrcture

May not asking for preliminary, for discussion. 

Jin/Joe: Concern this expose uncharacterized PF jet performance in these plot, which would prematurely expose unfolding amplitude

Dennis: Truth distriubtion would be OK. Binning size should match the expected resolution. 

 

D0 pT vs D0-jet pT

Carry some new message: 

  • D0-PF jet reco is working
  • Not vialating unity of D0/jet
  • D0 shows hard fragmentation (in this subsample of generated D0-jet in generator tuning)

Worth a try, with caution that D0-jet pT reco still need futher study

Jin: consider normalizing the integral of y-slice to 1, so not exposing the pT dependence of jet yield that stems from the simulated 12 GeV truth jet cut off

 

 

Upsilon - Sasha 

 

eID performance updated 

  • Pion Consistent with past study
  • Outer HCal also used for background rejection 

 

Tracking performance, will update soon

  • Joe: great to have upsilon resolution updated from MDC1 

 

RAA rejection 

  • Upsilon 3S RAA updated with CMS results on 3S
  • Shasha : 3S uncertainty is large 
  • Jin/Dennis: will have collaboration-wde guidance of lumi used for QM23 plots

 

We will have TPC display plot approved this week for AUM
