Intro

See Cameron's email yesterday and check out new KFParticle tutorial: https://github.com/sPHENIX-Collaboration/analysis/blob/master/HF-Particle/KFParticle_sPHENIX/HFReco.C#L90

PFJet Update : Antonio Carlos Oliveira da Silva

Slide 3:

Antonio: pions were generated with fixed eta and phi

Slide 5:

E_total is the total cluster energy in a layer

Slide 13:

Joe: double check whether it is an outer HCal only problem from field bending

Jin: weight of front-back surface position averae is probably energy and shower dependent. Later we might want to do a JER vs weighting parameter scan to pick one that optimize the jet performance overall

Slide 19:

Antonio: "unmatched EM particles" in the PFJet nominature means EMCal cluster which could come from a hadronic particle shower too

Slide 20:

Jin: please double check whether the shower is contained in the calorimeter: ie. sum all topo clusters. That is to set the goal post for the algorithm development: whether the peak near zero energy bin is due to (1) shower did not physically contained by calos (2) cluster splitted

Lambda_c update Joseph Bertaux

Cameron/Charles: newer Lc simulation files.

To be post to the Lambda c mattermost public channel: https://chat.sdcc.bnl.gov/sphenix/channels/hf-lc

Jin:

  1. useful to spread expertise
  2. good to get a feeling aboud the statistics for week of run in Run24 using information in the 2019 Lc note
  3. We also need to test with the new reduced track object from Alex

Zhaozhong: would the pKs0 channel be used?

Xin: Lc three body definitely need MVTX, but K0s could decay far away
