Announcement

Run24 simulation of streaming data

(From software meeting/Chris) pp pile-up production: G4 part completed.

Tony: DST ready soon (days).

Tony: Event splitting from extended readout window. Chris and Tony working on the analysis interface.

Jin: important for background analysis such as D0

First Run24 data and analysis

Sunday: first collision data of all tracking detectors. Field ramping on Friday and expect tracker (+calo) full field data soon.

Joe: cautious that alignment and distortion need to be addressed first before serious physics analysis

Jin/Tony: significant resonance signals such as K_0S can help the tracking development too. The tracking team has a plan to look into it, along with KFParticle-based

Joe: each Thu, there are working sessions weekly Thu morning from 9 AM-12 PM ET. https://bnl.zoomgov.com/j/16157583499?pwd=N25GMjBrZ0hRR1RQMFNQaDBUNmFlZz09

PF Jet: Antonio Da Silva

Xiaochun: clarification on the plot, the K0s decay before HCal.

Marzia: K0L would reach Hcal

Jin/Antonio: front matching seems better. Single pion is selected for this test. Trying electrons and different charges next for a diverse set of showers/tilts.

Tony: define "reconstructable"

Antonio: minimal energy left in calo

Jin: with Run24 data, good to think about the PF object in real data, despite it being at a later stage of real data analysis (after tracking and clustering tuning).

Tony: caution many real-data effects will complicate the look, such as many conversion electrons would not have silicon matching and TPC-only track does not have good determination of T0
