- "Monolithic Active Pixel Sensor (MAPS)-based Vertex Detector (MVTX)" I'd drop the MAPS part as it isn't referenced again
- "a further sample of minimum-bias Au+Au collisions." I'd remove this as we don't have a AuAu HF sample yet. The run last year was really commissioning with only a few hours of potentially useful collision data with the MVTX. You could say that the run this year is our high statistics AuAu run
- I'd also make a mention of the b-physics program which will really be world leading in heavy ion physics, and/or measurements that will be performed for the first time at RHIC (such as Lc/D0 in pp)
