Thank you for all the useful discussion at this morning's approval session and congrats to everyone working toward these impressive plots. The list of suggestions I noted during the meeting are listed below.

Approval - Performance Plots April 2, 2025


Yuko - 2PC

Pile up numbers are calculated and documented in AN
-Rate ->MBD trigger rate
-explain in poster text that it’s a small fraction of events collected 
-20% needs to be unfolded to get contamination and have a smaller effect on the v2
-increase font size
-quote the range of rate
-dN/dclus / dN/dclus (>400Hz)
-pp -> p+p
-should have axis ticks on the top and right as well of 3D plots
-MVTX + INTT tracklets -> silicon tracklets  
-change pT label to pT > 1 GeV
-Trigger Mode to Trigger
-Can drop Y= part of 3D axis label


Joe - Tracking plots

-Slide 4-6:
-Add collision info and more detail on the left
-simplify axis labels to \Delta r \phi residual and define on the poster

-Increase font size of the collision info etc in plots on following slides
Slide 8:
-move MeV from next to sigma to after 8.9

Slide 10:
-Add width

Slide 11
-remove Kaon dEdx p cut label
-change Width to sigma
-table should include the dEdx cut

Slide 12
-Increase label sizes
-Add widths
-Make a version without the pull

Slide 13:
-move MeV from next to sigma/mu to after the number  
-update at tomorrow’s approval session and plan to approve there

Slide 14:
-Updates to the Lambda_c plot are ongoing and being updated via Mattermost discussion

-For approved plots, update the note and send the preliminary stamped figures to Dennis once everyone's comments are addressed

Please join our preQM meeting week, starting soon at Monday 9AM EDT: https://indico.bnl.gov/event/26857/  . The Monday session starts with a brief collaboration status update, followed by parallel QM25 talk rehearsal and PPG09 approval. 

• This preQM meeting is a zoom-based event. Zoom link on indico page above.  
• For collaborators at BNL, Physics building room 2-219 is reserved for the preQM week. 
• sPHENIX 1008 Conference may be used by collaborators joining preQM while working on the run, though the room use will prioritize Run25 related activity.

Monday/Tue Mar 31/Apr 1st: potential for first collision and start of beam studies, followed by physics data taking 

Monday-Thu Mar 31-Apr 3: preQM meeting

We will NOT have Physics Coordination Meeting, General Meeting and preGeneral Meeting this/next/QM week, given the Run start and QM meetings. Nonetheless, we will give news introduction with brief run report slides at the beginning of preQM meeting

* We have two Preliminary physics results approvals in the next two days:
