Dear all,
This production incorporates several updates to the calorimeter data
- The threshold of towers with intermittent bad chi2 being labeled as hot (masked for the entire run) has been
lowered from 5% to 1%
- The cdb maps which defined the timing cuts for the later runs ( > 23000) were uploaded and now the isBadTime
status should be getting set for those runs.
- A large improvement of post-calibration hot/cold tower removal in the EMCal. These are labeled as isNoCalib
(see below).
- A new status field accessed by get_isNoCalib has been introduced and is set to true for calibrated towers
if the calibration equals zero or fails hot/cold QA. This should be treated like isHot and is NOT seen as optional. This status is incorporated into isGood. Note, if you are not using isGood because you want to remove the isBadTime flag, you will have
to now check this isNoCalib status additionally .
-An update to the EMCal calibration. This update incorporates new runs which are now specifically calibrated.
Besides the hot/cold QA the procedure has not changed much so there should not be a large difference in calibration (except for the newly incorporated runs which in previous productions received the relatively poor default calibration). The specifically
calibrated run lists are located here: https://github.com/sPHENIX-Collaboration/macros/tree/master/calibrations/calo/emcal_calib_year1/runLists
The EMCal calibration is nearing its final form and only small changes are in the scale
may occur; thus, any issues or anything that looks strange please contact Anthony and I. Also, if there is a run you are using for the PPGs that is not in the specifically calibrated list, please contact us.
Best,
Best,
Blair

Hello all,
New production with build tag ana403 and cdb tag 2023p010
has just finished.
Please use CreateDstList.pl to get a list of available DST files:
CreateDstList.pl --printruns > runlist.txt
CreateDstList.pl --list runlist.txt --build ana403 --cdb 2023p010 DST_CALO
This production has calibration improvements and better
handling of hot/dead flags.
Sasha.
