Hello sEPD'ers,
First, last week we discussed the cosmic tests of the sEPD sectors and there were two action items. It would be great to get updates via email.
* Rosi - determine what is exactly being quoted for the STAR EPD MIP width/peak value.
* Tristan/Dan - calculate the Full Width Half Max, which then takes into account the real width (i.e., both contributions from the Landau and convolved Gaussian).

If one assumes the distribution around the peak is mostly Gaussian, one can also quote the FWHM / 2.355, which is the RMS for a Gaussian (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_width_at_half_maximum)
Second, the last shipments of sEPD panels scanned at the University of Colorado Boulder are on their way to BNL.
They appear on their way for delivery on Thursday, November 3, 2022. See the AirTag tracking below. They are in Nebraska having a break at McDonalds right now.
Sincerely,
Jamie

Hi All,
Rosi is unavailable, so we won’t have the sEPD meeting. Please send any updates to the email list.
Regards,
Ron
