Hi Tristan,
Can you and Dan, in connection with Micah prepare a document that lists the status of all 30 sectors?  i.e. usable/unusable, then # of tiles with signal.  Obviously untested sectors will not have the tile-by-tile information.  We can discuss today what we want to do - but I think it would be good to all be on the same page with regards to the status of each sector.
Regards,
Rosi

Hello all,

I have unpacked and inspected the sectors shipped from Colorado to BNL.  All 9 sectors arrived.

The crate with sectors 9, 11, 12, and 13 arrived in reasonable condition on the exterior, and good condition on the interior.  All sectors seem structurally sound and visibly in good shape.

The crate with sectors 15, 17, 19, and 20 arrived in reasonable condition on the exterior.  However, it seems one layer of the foam on the interior was not included.  As a result, the sectors were not constrained vertically and shifted around during shipping, see the attached photos.  Of particular note, sectors 15 and 20 rotated in such a way that they were wedged directly against the wood of the crate.  Sector 15 has a break around tile 4.  Sector 17 was packed upside down so the fibers were pressed into the styrofoam.  Sector 19 has a break somewhere around tile 8.   Additionally, the connection on sector 19 is broken, and the paper is ripped through to the sector in two places.  I will see what I can come up with, but I am not confident I can fix the connector on 19 to a condition where it would be usable.  Sector 20 seems to be in reasonable shape.

The STAR crate arrived with only 5 of the 6 sides in place, see the attached photo.  However, the sector itself seems to have stayed in place and seems to be in good condition.

Best,
Tristan
