Hi All,
Here are the minutes of yesterday’s meeting. The critical action item is to find, count, document, and test the Meritec cables from the PHENIX HBD that we’re hoping we can use. The second important action item is to find, count, document, and test the RJ45 cables from the sPHENIX EMCal (that are the wrong length and they cant use). Feel free to add any comments corrections complaints etc.
Regards,
Ron

The straight pieces will be finished by the 17th (a few days), and the curved pieces will be done by the first week of March. All pieces will be shipped together once complete.
*Strongback*
Order placed, delivery expected in March 6
*SiPM box*
Order placed, delivery expected in March 6
*Meritec cables*
There is a need, and a plan in development, to relocate the SiPM box. This would change the needed Meritec cable length from 15 m to 6 m. A 6 m cable would still have a long lead time for a new order - Eric estimates many months, and Meritec won’t give detailed information without a purchase order. There may be enough cables (we need 48) leftover from the PHENIX HBD that are 10 m long. An important near term action item is for BNL-located sEPD folks to help Eric find, count, document (e.g. photographs of the connectors), and test these cables. We also need short Meritec cables for inside the SiPM box - these are an off-the-shelf item and shouldn’t be difficult or time consuming to get, we still need to make the purchase order.
*RJ45 cables*
The EMCal group has cables that are the wrong length for them that should be the right length for us. We need to locate, count, measure, document (e.g. photographs of the connectors), and test these.
*Ribbon cables*
We have 75% of what we need. There’s about a month before they're back in stock, but they’re straightforward to get.
*SiPM boards*
We are currently waiting to hear back from Scott at CEM to set the contract date and the first articles delivery date.
*Plumbing*
The technicians are aware of our existence and won't do anything until we put the SiPM box in and then they'll run a hose for us.
*Low voltage power supply*
Wiener has been added to the Lehigh system as a vendor and the request for purchase has been filed. Rosi will follow up with the purchasing department. Delivery expected in mid-April.
*Miscellany*
Everything else for the rack is procured. We need fibers for the 1E2 patch panel - these were allegedly ordered along with the MBD fibers, Rosi will check.
*Cosmics testing*
The replaced SiPM leads to noticeable improvement. The setup needs to be checked, measured, and documented. We also should decide whether we want to try to measure absolute efficiency or just the MIP peak.
*Data structure*
General discussion about what should be stored. We think we want both the raw ADC and the calibrated n_MIP.
