Hi All,

Here are brief minutes from the meeting.  The main action item for next week is a few slides from Rosi about all of orders and their statuses with a comprehensive schedule of expected deliveries and how that works into the sPHENIX schedule.

Regards,

Ron

MECHANICAL INTEGRATION

Previously a sector had been found to be a little too long.  It was rewrapped and is no longer too long.  There are two additional sectors in the high bay that may need to be rewrapped.  A panel screw broke off in one of the connectors.  We had an extended discussion about possible fixes and potential issues.  The biggest concern is the alignment, as light-tighting is straightforward to fix with a sufficient amount of tape.  The alignment pins on the connector should handle the x-y alignment, and the screws are only intended for making a firm connection.  Mike Lenz suggested to use the one good side and then use tape and cable ties on the bad side.  Micah will ask Mike about the possibility of driling a hole in the screw to weaken and extract it.

ELECTRONIC INTEGRATION

Tristan is waiting on parts and keeping track of orders.  CEM is waiting on parts for the SiPM boards, especially PCB—the board house is backed up.  Once the PCB is delivered to the assembly house, it takes one week to do the assembly (note that Memorial Day is coming up).  We haven’t heard much of anything about the interface boards other than the known issues with PCB deliveries.  Eric signed off on a parts change for the EMC interface boards, reducing the lead from from 39 weeks to 4-5 weeks.  The bias supplies from Wiener aren’t expected until July.  We discussed the possibility using some Keithleys to power up parts of the detector prior to the arrival of the bias supplies.  A key action item for the next meeting is a few slides about all of orders and their statuses with a comprehensive schedule of expected deliveries and how that works into the sPHENIX schedule.
