sPHENIX Event Plane Detector discussion

Sorry about the late response and not having taken any pictures.

Last week, Jimmy and Mike assembled both boxes to see if they would go together.  We also have all the preamps mounted on cooling plates and attached to the cooling tubes.  The Interface boards, SiPM boards, cables and assorted cables.  What is missing is the interior meritec cables (they should be delivered to the  tent in the 510 highbay) and interior power and SC/TP cables.  Those need to be custom designed due to space and routing constraints. 

The current plan is tomorrow Jimmy will start to look at the next steps on how we assemble the electronics and test it.  Jimmy and I did talk about it, and we think we will need to fully assemble 3 interface boards outside the box, test it and then install it into a partially assembled box. The testing will have to be quick since we will not have cooling attached.

I will be around 510 mid-morning to help Jimmy.
