Hi Ejiro,

It looks great!  Double check the MBD acceptance, I think it’s 3.6 < |eta| < 4.5 but I wouldn’t swear to that.  For the angle vs angle plot from simulation, did you do a full flattening procedure?  It looks like it has a bit of a dip in the middle—those plots don’t look quite right with recentering alone.  It’s not a problem, I just want to make a note of it because someone might ask you about it.

Cheers,

Ron

Hi Megan,

Thank you for your comments. I will update my slides and poster accordingly and will point you to it tomorrow.

Dear Ejiro,

Thank you for the slides. Sorry I missed that you were planning to make a request at the TG meeting today. This study looks very nice but I have some suggestions.

-It would be really great to see the JER in addition to the JES. I think that is where you would expect the most improvement. Do you have these plots?
-Could you also add the non-flow modulated UE subtracted points to the plots? I think you could just contact Virginia for the approved points. It looks consistent with your JES but again it would be interesting to see how the JER compares.
-It looks like you are just using the 30 GeV jet sample (type 11). One should be careful looking at results below 30 GeV for this sample. We were asking everyone to add the 10 and 30 GeV samples via the weights in the wiki page. Have you looked into doing this? Since this may not be doable on a short time scale, could you adjust the plots to only include jets above 30 GeV?

Thanks,
-Megan

Hi all,

I attached a link to my QM poster here: https://sphenix-invenio.sdcc.bnl.gov/records/978ht-79a81

I also cc the jet group because there are some jet materials in the poster. I saw an email earlier that the regularly scheduled jet meeting is cancelled  (understandably due to QM approvals today).

This however, makes it impossible for me to go over the pdf I attached to this email scheduled for delivery at the jet TG meeting today. The jet material is purely simulation and has been presented several times in the jet TG group (as indicated with links pointing to previous presentations).

I'm happy to go over the material if the jet TG convenors would like me to do so.

Best regards,
Ejiro
