For the July 27-31 sPHENIX simulation workfest (https://indico.bnl.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=1237), we will add and announce the registration and accommodation pages soon.

 

 

Liang - HCal light collections

Liang: light output from PHG4Hit::get_light_yield() function as expected.

 

Page 8:

Visible energy reconstructed from 30GeV pion with muon calibration reads around 24 GeV

 

John L. verbal updates:

On-going study: study performance VS steel type for the inner Hcal and VS high-precision neutron physics list.

For longer term, looking forward to how calibration can be done.

Jin: the recent upgrade on all versions of PHG4Hits broke the backward compatibility for older DSTs, which delayed John’s study.  

 

Suggestions on TODOs for Liang:

·       use all Geant4 hit including magnet hits to better estimate CG.

·       Look for different indenting pion energy to quantify linearity and resolution

·       Quantify the tail leakage

 

 

Jin - 2D projective EMCal setup in Geant4

 

Conclusion: proceed as proposed to implement 2D projective SPACAL in Geant4, which is adjusted to the best knowledge of possible ways of constructing it as presented.
