Unfortunately, my connection wasn't very clear during the meeting
yesterday. So let me say what I thought about the cause for asymmetry
in the thickness vs phi. If you look at Richie's design (see attached
..B.pdf file), the plot on the upper right hand side which shows the
outer HCal prototype2 w.r.t. zero. You can see clearly that the tilts
/angles (w.r.t zero) are not the same for all titles and it's not a
slice of the //main sPHENIX design. This what produces the asymmetry
that you see in thickness vs. phi. The tiles for the inner HCal don't
have as much difference in the tilt w.r.t. zero (see attached ..C.pdf
file) and that's why we don't have large asymmetry in the thickness vs
phi.
