Chris: suggest to output two different node for forward ECal.  

 

 

Inner HCal optimization - John Lajoie

 

Page 3:

Plates tilting:

John: confirm whether we expect tilt angle changes

Chris: yes

 

Page 4:

Difference between pre-CDR and new simulation:

John: using QGSP_BERT physics list.

Chris: production using QGSP_BERT_HP list for production., as well as different Geant4 version.

Chong: what list do

Chris: slow neutron modeling, about x2 slower.

Very useful plot to show that we cannot just further down scope inner HCal to just dead absorber

Megan: specify dead material

John: material is there. But do not build readout.

 

 

SPACAL prototype - Jin Huang

 

SPACAL prototype simulation is ready.

Conclusion: Merge it in to the prototype simulation macros.

 

 

New HCal prototype - Chris

 

Page 3:

Chris: the scintillator presented in the plot is its mother volume, showing very good match with the plate in geometry checks.

Abhisek/Chris: mystery why energy is slightly higher on the left side.

Expected output will be RawTower.

Jin: good to make another version of raw tower to save an array of hit VS time

 

TGeo export for Kalman filter studies

Action Item [Abhisek and Chris]: try it out offline.
