B-jet tagging with secondary vertex - Sanghoon Lim

 

Summary: updates and first rejection VS efficiency plots using secondary vertex tagger.

 

Slide2:

Jin: besides secondary mass, max decay length cut may be used to reject light meson too.

 

Slide3:

Sanghoon: event when single vertex found inside B-jets, the sigma displace of the jet from the primary vertex can be used for rejection.

 

Slide4:

Sanghoon: K0 decays already rejected in the light jet sample.

 

Plan:

Sanghoon: Plan to produce purity plots, try the MAPS + TPC tracker in simulation and investigate how light jets produces large displaced vertexes

Jin: will work together to define truth tracing

Jin: need to reach>1000:1 rejection to produce practical purity. We can further try max vertex displacement cuts and secondary vertex mass

 

Haiwang: plan to introduce a pull request to enable GenFit to refit tracks, so Sanghoon could choose to use the refit track for RAVE vertex finding for comparison.

 

 

Exercise Dennis’ track counting B-tagger - Haiwang Yu

 

Haiwang: tested run through Dennis code chain in G4 track counting.  Making study plots this week.
