sPHENIX discussion of software

Hello everyone,

this is a brief reminder for our simulation meeting Jan 10th, 1pm in 2-219

currently on the agenda is a presentation by Sasha about J/Psi at sPHENIX.

This meeting is a good opportunity to talk about simulation needs for QM and beyond.
We have new sets of simulations with the current default setup (cylinder based maps,itt,tpc + spacal2d, inner hcal non tapered plates, outer hcal tapered plates), hijing:

/sphenix/sim/sim01/production/sHijing/2017-01-04/fm_0-4
/sphenix/sim/sim01/production/sHijing/2017-01-04/fm_0-12

They take really long, 8 out of the 100 central hijing jobs are still ongoing (5 days and counting).

We have also a new set of single particle sims under:

/sphenix/sim/sim01/production/single_particle/2017-01-04/spacal2d

The old sims are not readable with our current code, they'll be removed soon to recover disk space.
