Hi Jin, Chris, and all (CC: simulations and trigger lists),

We’re following up on the request for centralized MC production of MB p+p and
p+Au events for trigger simulations.

Here are our answers to specific questions raised during last week's
Simulations meeting:

1. We do not need the G4 absorber to be in the simulation; it is safe to
disable it.

2. If possible, we would like to have productions with two separate detector
configurations: (1) the steel IHCal and (2) the uninstrumented Al IHCal
frame. Just to check: we do want the full EMCal acceptance (we could always
choose to ignore large-rapidity towers at the analysis level), and it is
important to make sure the plug doors are included in the simulation!

3. As requested, we have prepared Pythia8 MB (for p+p) and sHijing (for p+Au)
input events in HepMC format, 100k each.

The Pythia8 MB events can be found at:

/sphenix/user/dvp/gen/MB/hepmc_MB_seq0XXXX.dat , where XXXX = 0000 to
3999, and there are 50 events per file (so technically this is 200k total
available events)

The sHijing p+Au events can be found at:

/sphenix/user/dvp/gen/pAu_MB/sHijing_pAu_MB_200GeV_b0-10fm_seq00XXXX.dat ,
where XXXX = 0000 to 1999 and there are 50 events per file

Please let us know if there are further issues,

Dennis
