Hi folks,

this is just a heads up - we try to switch from afs to cvmfs tomorrow. 
We've had nightly builds for all our flavors (and more - hepmc3) for the 
last couple of weeks and I've been running with it for a while without 
any problem. It should be transparent to users, technically the only 
change is the /opt/sphenix softlink which currently points to an afs 
area which will then point to the same area in cvmfs. The setup script 
will do the rest. afs will still stay around, so running jobs and 
sessions can finish taking however long they wish.

If things fail on this attempt we'll just fall back.

If you have scripts which use /afs directly (you are not supposed to), 
you need to adjust them and I would recommend to use the proper 
environment variables this time.

We'll try this tomorrow, around 11am
