Hi Dave,

it should definitely open up the OSG to us. When Matt experimented how to run the PHENIX reconstruction on the OSG we actually had a cvmfs area with a copy or our afs libraries. BNL did not have a tier 0 server and we always had to contact fermi lab for someone to publish it - that worked okay but was rather painful, it's much better now.

cvmfs is also more common than afs out there - so we can just ship our container and have it load the latest and greatest via cvmfs rather than having a static tarball with everything.

continue using afs but if you use /opt/sphenix anywhere it'll point to
cvmfs from now on.

I need to tweak the setup script next for running containers but
otherwise the change should be transparent (as long as you do not use
/afs/rhic.bnl.gov/... in your scripts)
