Hi folks,

our new disk arrays have arrived which will give us some more space. Our current gpfs filesystems gpfs02 and gpfs04 will be merged into gpfs02. For gpfs02 the move was transparent and is done, now we need a final rsync for gpfs04 which is disruptive. All processes accessing it are terminated and the filesystems will be unavailable for the duration of the rsync, approximately 6 hours. This will start first thing tomorrow morning.

The softlinks everyone is supposed to use to get to those filesystems will be updated so this should be transparent to users. If you used /gpfs04/... you will have to adapt (my recommendation would be to use the softlinks rather than replacing this by /gpfs02).

The taxi uses /phenix/prod01, so it will be shut down for the duration of the move.

The affected filesystems are
/sphenix/data/data02
/sphenix/user

/phenix/crs
/phenix/prod01
/phenix/vtx/vtx01
