sPHENIX discussion of software

Hi folks,

we have now a play build with the newest root version. This version 
fixes a memory issue with writing stl maps, with our test suite it looks 
like a 10% reduction in memory. I took the opportunity to upgrade our 
3rd party software (boost, CGAL, fastjet, pythia8) to the latest 
versions. To run with this use

source /opt/sphenix/core/bin/sphenix_setup.csh play -n

and don't forget to rebuild your private code.

A test with 5 events with single pions using our standard 
Fun4All_G4_sPHENIX.C macro gives identical results to the current new 
builds. Please give this new version a spin, given that it does help our 
memory consumption I would like to switch to this rather soon.

P.S. One new warning comes up:
Warning in <TStreamerInfo::Build>: pair<unsigned int,pair<unsigned 
int,ULong64_t> >: pair<unsigned int,ULong64_t> has no streamer or 
dictionary, data member "second" will not be saved.
I'll look into this but it doesn't seem to affect the readability of the 
DSTs.
