Hello everybody,

this is a reminder that we will have a sPHENIX simulation and software meeting tomorrow May 3rd, 1PM ET

The Agenda for this meeting is: https://indico.bnl.gov/event/15616/

You have seen the review charge - we need to discuss the scenarios we can present at the S&C review if we do not have the resources we asked for. I already mentioned that we have quite a few knobs we can turn but this has to be more specific. What are our "must have" physics results and how can we (software) trigger on them?  The cheapest "trigger" would be centrality, followed by calorimeter reconstruction. Tracking is expensive especially since you need to process the neighboring events for the distortion correction. But if the output of the first pass tracking can be used for triggering (or some separate silicon only tracking) it's worth looking into it.

Given the vagueness in terms of the amount of the shortfall, we  probably should have some answers for pp as well.

We need your input for this.

sPHENIX members should have write access, the access key is babar1008

I linked our subsystem status spreadsheet:

Please update the subsystem status where appropriate and mention it in the meeting.

And don't forget the virtual help desk starting at 2:30:
