Hi Everyone,
We will hold our next calo calibrations meeting tomorrow at our still (relatively) new Tuesday 10:30am time. Again we will go through the ~2nd half of the tasks lists, and also update the status on some of the discussions from last week.
Also, Tim Rinn will give an update on the important topic that touches several we talked about last week that he presented this past Friday at the EMCal mtg (including possibly some updates from that talk) about a new method for the pulse fitting/extraction
that a) importantly, uses less samples (only <= 8) , b) is much faster than the previous fitting already without the ML optimizing. I believe we will have time for another update or two, so let me know if you'd like to request a spot.
Finally, I had some homework to look into about the zero suppression algortihm and schedule (which I brought up last week in order to determine the priority of some associated studies/tasks). These have been largely answered on the email thread started
by Bill Zajc on Thurs and a little more by some discussion at the EMcal mtg last week. Please have a look at that thread (including a couple important emails from John H and one from Jamie). I will be referring to it, but one result is I believe the tasks
John described should be included on our lists, possibly with some priority so we can be proactively out ahead on the subject--on the other hand it may be mostly a task for the JS structure group. I also I think that this discussion may be tied to the subject
of Tim's talk as well.
and the zoom info: (same as before--it's a meet anytime)
