Dear all,

a new (and rather severe - "a Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) score of 9.8 out of 10") git client vulnerability has been disclosed, see below. If you only use git at the SDCC or your institution, etc, you will be covered. Not so for git on your laptop, desktop, systems you are responsible for. Patches are in for virtually all OSes. Please upgrade asap.
