Hi folks,

thanks to Justin, the revamped calorimeter cluster reconstruction now works without vertex. A side effect of this is now that there is no GlobalVertexMap in the DST_CALO_CLUSTER files anymore (once they are reprocessed which is 1/2 done). The plan is to add another pass to our simulation chain which will then produce a DST which contains the vertices as we plan for the real data (MBD and tracking). But so far that's just a plan and we need something right now.

We have a simulated vertex module which you can run as part of your macro until this is sorted out. The usage is simple, you need to include G4_Global.C and callĀ  Global_FastSim(); in the beginning of your macro. If you want an example, have a look at

/sphenix/user/pinkenbu/Fun4All_Vertex.C

which reads dst_calo_cluster and dst_truth and runs our jet reconstruction which needs the vertex

Chris
