Hello Chris via sphenix-software list,
For the sPHENIX simulation and software meeting this week, can we add a couple of items to the agenda.
* Request / discussion for additional simulations from Colorado/Columbia groups
- HIJING events with wider z-vertex distribution (probably sigma = 8 cm and no cutoff to match 2023 data)
- HIJING above with randomly flipping z-direction of particles/momenta to remove HIJING eta asymmetry
- HIJING above with calorimeter zero suppression turned off (which seems on currently)
- AMPT added with the above, discussion on whether HEPMC output is enough or more integration needed
* Details on Run-2024 calorimeter zero suppression plans (Jamie/Dan)
- this has implications for modeling this in simulation
- this also has implications for how the "positive energy bias problem" currently is being approached
* Potentially a discussion of the AuAu Centrality Module and the need for MBD and ZDC calibration objects and values.
Thanks in advance.
Sincerely,
Jamie
