sPHENIX discussion of software

    Hello everybody,
    
    this is a reminder that we will have a sPHENIX simulation and
    software meeting today November 14st 1PM ET.

    We have a new standing entry for our production (status and
    subsystems). The permission to add sub contribs and material is open
    to everyone.
    
    We need to address the future of the simulations. Should we go
    through the effort to switch the existing sims from the BBC to the
    MBD and the global vertex? The later one involves rerunning the
    tracking (since the tracking vertex has changed). This is a major
    enterprise - we are talking a few M jobs to do this for all our
    sims, about 1M if we restrict ourselves to run7 (AuAu)
    
    In terms of the next batch of sims - we are waiting for the intt
    geometry and there were doubts about the cemc geometry. Both need to
    be settled before any redo of the simulations. Maybe we can get an
    update on those today.
