Hi folks,
I have an opinion about this product but I am not opposed to others using it. The issue is that it produces a lot of runaway jobs, here is a snapshot of top run on sphnx01:
23298 XXX 20 0 966080 34980 1340 R 100.0 0.1 3948:33 node
24613 XXX 20 0 993164 34392 948 R 100.0 0.1 3941:04 node
25378 XXX 20 0 965604 34544 1096 R 100.0 0.1 3939:22 node
8672 XXX 20 0 993176 36004 2512 R 99.7 0.2 1357:47 node
22241 XXX 20 0 992648 35056 1276 R 99.7 0.1 3949:10 node
28148 XXX 20 0 994200 36012 2512 R 99.7 0.2 243:17.27 node
This VM has 8 cores, 6 of which are now kept busy by this product. As far as I know this has to do with this thing running cache updates which obviously go wrong. I think this can be disabled (but don't ask me how, google might be able to tell you)
If you use vscode it is YOUR responsibility to watch out for this (kill -9 is your friend). I will terminate these jobs just now so we can get some real work done
Chris
