sPHENIX discussion of software

    Hello everybody,
    
    This is a reminder that we will have a sPHENIX simulation and
    software meeting today October 1st 1:00PM ET.

    We need to talk about the ongoing productions (sim and real data)
    and how to proceed. It looks like we have more than 1/2 of the calo
    pp data reconstructed (up to the wave form fits) by far exceeding
    what we have processed on the fly - what are we going to to with
    that?
    
    It is a bit late - but for next week we need input from the TGs
    about pp simulation needs. There is the discussion what to use as MB
    (the pythia8 HF setting which gets the charm right or Detroit which
    gets the pi0's correct), both depending on analysis is an option. If
    there is anything which can be sorted out today - that would give us
    a head start.
    
    We are now in a position where we can max out our farm with
    production tasks, so we don't have oodles of spare cycles we can
    throw at sims nobody really uses.
