Hi folks,

first of all Thanks a lot for looking into the alma9 hosts and all the 
feedback. I am sorry that it turned out to be pretty bad, alma9 isn't 
were it needs to be. It definitely looks like cvmfs is a problem. I 
found and fixed an issue that our compiler did talk to a cern cvmfs 
volume - it remains to be seen if this helps.

This freezing up also happens on the farm nodes, so I asked sdcc to 
re-enable condor on our SL7 hosts. We are basically back where we were 
yesterday. I would still encourage using those sphnxuser nodes and 
submit to alma9 at least occasionally.

Also - if you find missing software packages on the sphnxuser machines 
(gvim and xemacs were pointed out), let me know and I pass it on
