sPHENIX discussion of software

Hi folks,

sdcc looked into the crash dumps of our deceased nodes and it looks like 
out python3 version tickles a kernel bug under Alma9. I installed this 
version at a time when only python2 was available under SL7, by now 
python 3.6.8 is installed. We'll try to fall back to this version but 
right now I'll remove the python 3.10 which is installed under SL7 and 
then see if I can install the python packages we are using.

Our production is the main user of python - it has been stopped until 
this is sorted out.

Let's hope this gets us back on track
