Hello,

This morning's meeting was very useful. I thought the conclusion of what we should do is as it says in the attached. Do we agree?

Hello,

I suggest that we devote this Wednesday's TPC engineering meeting to
discussing the plan for installing as much of the line and diffuse
laser systems as possible before the INTT installation makes it very
difficult if not impossible. There is already a plan that has been
sketched out, but I think we should bring it to a larger audience, and
make sure we're all on the same page.

We can just use the usual Wednesday time slot 9:30-12

https://bnl.zoomgov.com/j/1606777143?pwd=Nkd6ZWtGejlaR29xNnY1TFA3N3haUT09

and the agenda page is here:

It would be useful to put some background material on the Indico
agenda page if possible.

I will forward this to some others who don't usually attend this
meeting if the date and time are ok.

We met to discuss the installation plan for the diffuse and line lasers. The
slides are a very useful summary of the design and status of the laser
systems.

In my opinion, the path forward is:

0. Whatever lasers are going to be installed, they have to be complete by
~Monday, February 27. There might be another day or so before the INTT
installation takes over the space on the north and south platforms, but as
much
as possible, work at the wagon wheel on both sides of the TPC should be done
by
Monday morning, February 27. It is unlikely that anything on or near the
wagon
wheel will be serviceable after INTT installation.

1. Begin installing at least one steerable laser bench (at the six o'clock
position most likely) and the necessary control cables to move it on each side
as soon as possible, but no later than next Thursday (February 23). We should
not plan on moving it until it is possible to attempt to see laser hits in the
TPC (which will not be until we have gas and are able to turn on high voltages
to the field cage and GEM's, which is likely to be after April 15).

2. Modify and install the prototype diffuse laser fibers; if production fibers
are delivered and can be made ready to install before the drop-dead date
(Friday, February 24), install them instead, but do not delay modifying the
prototype fibers. New fibers, if delivered, probably need some testing before
installation.
