Hello All,
Let's meet MONDAY 03.10 at 9:30 AM ET (3:30 PM CET) to discuss ongoing operations/analysis/planning for the TPC. In particular:
-
HV: TPC has continued to make progress, running nightly and through the weekend with shifters recovering trips. Last week, we also accomplished the HV channel mapping. The nominal remaining items for the HV with isobutane but without B field are the gain balancing and the weather compensation (in that order). We can discuss this and any other issues @Thomas K Hemmick wants to bring up (e.g. gain fluctuations in NS 12 R3).
-
LV/FEEs: This week, we may run some or all of the FEEs with an upgraded firmware version depending on @Kuczewski, John's schedule. Further, we have seen that some of the reduction in noise in the NS 3 o'clock (EBDC00) R1 FEEs has gone away. We should try to go to the bore with a "fishing pole" camera and see if the braid we installed there is still holding. We should also come back to the discussion around the "wandering pedestals" we had last week and iron out a plan for mapping. Let's discuss with @Sakaguchi, Takao.
-
DAQ: It seems that the "dirty memory" issue from last year is happening again but in an unexpected way. Previously, it would scale with the total network transmission at the time of > 5 GB dirty memory - usually around 8-10 TB. now it seems to occur much sooner at 4-5 TB, though not consistently. Perhaps we can discuss this with @Huang, Jin and @Martin Purschke.
-
Line Laser: At the close of last week, @Seth Howell, @Azmoun, Bob, and @Thomas K Hemmick were hard at work with the automation procedure of the PD scan for the "pre-alignment" of the lasers. We can discuss the continuation of this effort. We can also discuss any additional things the laser folk need such as the final trigger firmware from @Finnelli, Kristina and @Kuczewski, John. Finally, @divaldo95 AT gmail.com can update us on any progress on the hallucination mitigation.
-
Contingency Box: As @Mandracchia, Kevinsaid, we need to discuss with John when we can ramp up work with the contingency boxes. We should also make sure we take advantage of @shana Prifte offer to help.
-
Analysis: @Luke Legnosky, @josborn1 AT bnl.gov, and @Yeonju Go have all made some initial progress looking at the HCAL coincidence triggered TPC data from the last couple of weeks for gain balancing. We can discuss any progress they want to report.
-
Any other pressing business
