Dear all,

Based on Vicki's and Tony's suggestion I have modified my abstract. Also after discussion within TPC group I am now intending to submit the following abstract for QM17 talk. Additionally someone else from TPC/tracking group will submit abstract for QM17 poster showing  tracking performance based on simulation.  I made changes in the "title", implemented Tony's and Vicki's suggestion and tweaked a bit in language. More comments and suggestions are most welcome.

Best regards,
-Sourav

\title{sPHENIX tracking overview }
\begin{document}
\maketitle
 The proposed sPHENIX detector at RHIC is focused on measuring jets, jet correlations, heavy flavor tagged jets and three states of Upsilons to determine the temperature dependence of transport coefficients of the quark-gluon plasma. These measurements will complement to those being made at the higher energies available at LHC. The sPHENIX detector, having acceptance in full azimuth and $|\eta| < 1.1$ , comprises the Babar solenoid magnet, tracking detectors in the form of Monolithic Active Pixel Detector (MAPS), intermediate Silicon trackers and GEM based Time Projection Chamber. Electromagnetic and hadronic Calorimeters completes the calometric part of sPHENIX.\\
Both Jet and Heavy Flavor Physics requires high precision tracking detectors. This talk is intended to present the overview of sPHENIX tracking design and performance for reconstructing charged particles based on simulations.

Dear Sourav,

In addition to Vicki's comments, I suggest the following changes:

"The proposed upgrade of PHENIX to sPHENIX at RHIC"

->

"The proposed sPHENIX detector at RHIC"

You should specifically mention heavy flavor tagged jets. Perhaps:

"measuring jets, jet correlations and three states of upsilons to determine the temperature dependence of transport coefficients of the quark-gluon plasma"

->

"measuring jets, jet correlations, heavy flavor tagged jets, and the three states of the Upsilon to determine the temperature dependence of transport coefficients of the quark-gluon plasma"

"and Calorimeters"

->

"and electromagnetic and hadronic Calorimeters"

Cheers

Tony

Hi, Sourav,

Here are some corrections, mostly language:

Line 1 "Proposed upgrade" -> "The proposed upgrade"
Line 2  I would break the first sentence into two, ending the first sentence after "quark-gluon plasma" and the second sentence reading "These measurements are complementary to those being made at the higher energies available at the LHC."
Line 2 "will comprise of"  -> "comprises the"
Line 4 "simulation" -> "simulations"

Best,
Vicki
