Dear Christof, Tony, Jin and Takahito

As we agreed in the simulation meeting; we design the EndRings (INTT barrels support) and stave EndCaps as a single piece of ring made of aluminum. In each end/side of INTT detector, we have one aluminum ring. We did our best to reduce the radiation length of the EndRing material but strong enough to carry INTT.

Please see the attached files for details. Our goal is to implement this aluminum ring (one ring on each side) in the simulation and get some feedback.

I can make a presentation if you want for more details and explanations. Please let me know.

Thanks.

Sincerely,
Rachid and Dan

I agree with you. Please let me know and I will upload my talk.
I hope that tracking task force will participate in the meeting, in order we can get more feedbacks.

Moving barrels inward is impossible because the MVTX cone stills in the way.
However, I bring this point again to our engineers: Dan (INTT engineer), Connor (INTT engineer) and Walter (MVTX engineer).

Thanks.

Sincerely,
Rachid

Alternatively reviving the task force meeting on wednesday would also be an option if all the relevant people are in this audience.

As far as I recall there was also a recuest during EC review of the Task Force findings that the INTT community should provide some information on how far inward the INTT layers could potentially be moved with a subsequent study by the Task Force of the physics performance of the corresponding configuration. Will you also touch upon this subject?

Thanks

   Christof

Dear Tony,

Thanks for your quick response.
Let make sure that this topic will be on the next general meeting.

Sincerely,
Rachid

Hi Rachid,

The meeting tomorrow will be focused on the next step in software design, so would not be the best forum for a topic of such broad interest.

The next general meeting seems like a better choice to me.

Cheers
Tony

Dear Tony and Christof,
Since the last collaboration meeting, we made a lot progress on the INTT design specification as it was requested by the sPHENIX collaboration.  We are almost ready to release the latest INTT specification document to the tracking task force.
In this context, I would like to make a presentation (I need at least 30 minutes). As you wish, I can make this presentation in the tracking software meeting tomorrow or in the next sPHENIX general meeting or another meeting. Please just let me know the best time for you.
Thanks.
Sincerely,  Rachid and Dan  for the INTT group

Hello All,
Let's have a tracking software meeting tomorrow at 10:00 am ET (note the 10:00 am start, because Christof has to leave at 11:00 am).
Now that we have the simulations code segregated and reorganized, and Haiwang has finished with the segregation, modularization and reorganization of the tracking code, it is time to complete the job by moving to the new scheme for storing and handling tracking objects. I would like that to be the main focus of tomorrow's meeting. The Indico page is: https://bluejeans.com/553808487/
