Hi Sasha,

Looking at your macros, I see the following:

1) You are using the repository G4_Tracking.C macro (i.e. you do not have a local version to override it). This is good, the repo macro has use_acts_init_vertexing set, so it does Acts silicon seeding and gets the truth vertices to associate the silicon seeds with.

2) Your Fun4All macro has a couple of issues:

-- You are not running Hijing pileup events, just single central events. See my macros to see how to do this. Don't forget the G4_Input.C macro - the embedding part needs to be modified to handle multiple input files.

-- The Hijing vertex is being reused for the pions, but not for the Upsilon. I am not sure what this will do. See my Fun4All macro for how to reuse the vertex. The repo macro needs to be fixed, this is a bug.

I suggest running 0-20fm + 0-20 fm pileup events to begin with, just to get things going - they will be a lot faster.

Hi all,

The macro I've used to embed Upsilons in central Hijing events is in:

/sphenix/u/sphnxpro/embed

It does not have reuse_existing_vertex set to true, as Tony said.
