Hi Tony,

I looked at your slides quickly this morning – the decreased vertexing performance in D0 events is indeed from two factors:

  1. The lower number of tracks per vertex
  2. The pT of those tracks is lower. The jet events have a minimum partonic pT of 10 GeV, so they are very likely to have at least one high pT track. The D0 events have basically no minimum partonic pT, so they are going to be ccbar produced at mass threshold most of the time. Thus, the “partonic pT” of the D0 events will basically be the energy to create a ccbar pair, which will be substantially lower than 10 GeV.

Hi All,

We will have our usual tracking software meeting at 10 am ET tomorrow, Monday October 18.

The Zoom link is:

There is an Indico page at:

I will show some slides on D0 pileup event performance.

Cheers

tony
