Hi Tony,

I also wanted to present a poster.

I would be discussing the static distortion measurements with the line lasers.

My (tentative) title is:

“Characterization of static distortions in the sPHENIX TPC using line lasers at readout.”

Note this would be different from Ben's poster as my poster would focus only on the static distortions. I have discussed this with Ben and Ross.

Hello Zhongling,

I think that would be a very good idea.

Cheers
Tony

Dear Tony,

I also hope to submit a poster for the TPC NN clustering. Though I have not achieved a better clustering performance now, I can improve it in the meanwhile and show the technical implementation of the NN clustering at sPHENIX. Do you think it is good for me to show a poster?

    Thank you very much.

Best regards,
Zhongling

Hi Ben,

Great! I think there could (and should) be many posters on distortion related work.

Hi Tony,

I've already talked to Ross about submitting a poster abstract on distortion corrections. I'll talk with him more over the next few days.

Best,
Ben Kimelman

Following up on this:

Thinking briefly about it, we could imagine posters on specific topics. We would present whatever we have by then in the way of expectations and technical data plots. Topics that might make sense would include:

Track seeding.
Alignment.
Track fitting (could be the overview poster).
Vertex determination.
Clustering in the TPC.
Distortion correction techniques.

We would promise nothing in the abstract about what will be presented, except to say that the status will be described.

Cheers
Tony

Hi All,

It has been brought to my attention that the deadline for QM talks and posters is May 1. That means if we want to submit abstracts for a tracking software poster, or posters, we should be discussing them now. The poster abstracts will have to go  through an approval process that will take time. The posters for sPHENIX will be centrally submitted to QM after approval.

If you have an idea for a poster on tracking software, please raise your hand!

Thanks
Tony
